About the programme
Build the tech that connects software to the real world. In this 4-year programme in Maastricht, you learn how computers work from the inside out. Then use that knowledge to design and build embedded systems, Internet of things devices, edge computing solutions, and distributed systems. Systems that are fast, secure, and reliable. You also learn to think about responsibility: what happens when your technology affects people’s safety, privacy, and daily lives?
Why we?
- From day one, you work on real projects and cases, often together with companies and organisations.
- You learn in a community-style environment with students, lecturers, researchers and partners all working in the same space.
- You get a strong foundation (maths, programming, computer systems) and then specialise towards topics like real-time embedded systems, IoT, distributed systems, and security.
- You learn to build with quality in mind: timing, safety, security, and reliability matter just as much as ‘it works’.
- You train your professional skills while you build, so you learn how to work with stakeholders, present your work, and make choices you can explain.
- You join one shared community with Applied Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, so you develop and learn alongside students who focus on data and AI.
